DOUGLAS ELFORD: Workshop - Creating Digital Portfolios, Posting Images online, Using images in your presentations & work
Douglas Elford who has already done a workshop last March which was a great success has been asked to do a repeat workshop as quite a few people were sad to have missed the first one.
Douglas says: “Perhaps you wish to create a digital portfolio for your artwork, post their images online, use them for a grant application or have examples of your work reproduced in a brochure or book.
Well then, it’s only necessary that you learn the best way to photograph your masterpieces, right?
Now, you shouldn’t just depend on the well-known fact that an iPhone camera is good. To photograph artwork, even with an iPhone, you must think and act like an expert photographer or media curator, to enable you to create photographs rather than snaps.
Join a professional photographer for a half day workshop on techniques and tips for lighting and photographing your artwork. Bring your gear and an artwork along to really put it all into practice.”
Workshop limited to 6 participants (minimum of 6 required to run course, by August 21st)

All tools are supplied ... this is a full Jewellery Studio. Techniques range from the basics of sawing, silver soldering, riveting, making chain links and silver-smithing, through to more advanced techniques such as doming, engraving (drill and traditional hand engraving are both available), stone setting (all types of stones), advanced silver-smithing, chain and chain mail construction as well as glass or stone carving.
The classes are limited in size to 6 students, which means that students with different skill levels can work on individual projects according to the high one-on-one time available. If you don’t have a project in mind or don't know the techniques involved, tasks can be set for you to learn specific techniques depending on whether you are a beginner or at a more advanced level.
